
Can't stop thinking?

You've decided to go for a walk in order to take a break from "all the goings on" and about 20 minutes into your walk (or on your way back) and you realize that all you've done on this "walking break" is think, and think and think... You haven't even noticed the beautiful air your absorbing, or natural surroundings, or the sky above you...
It can be really valuable to observe your thoughts and notice the difference between moving into solutions with your thoughts, or simply having what are often called "racing thoughts."
Racing thoughts deplete our energy because they're happening due to anxiety that we're carrying.
This is a GREAT signal your body is sending you, because you can take notice and then create shifts to dissolve the overwhelm.
This is why guided visualization (or meditations) were created, because although it's a valuable skill to sit in silence, when we're feeling overwhelmed with different emotions, a gentle voice, some music and a warm blanket around us, can help move our mind into a more peaceful place.
When we're able to do this, we stop depleting ourselves through our racing thoughts. It becomes much easier to move into any solutions we need to find and it elevates our immune system at the same time (because we're not depleting our energy) đ
So today, a loving reminder that if you're needing some help to calm those racing thoughts and have some tools to move into a greater state of mental peace more often...
